Having to serve the National Service, HDB flats surrounding us, playing football under the void decks after school, ask any singaporean and they can likely understand at least their native language and the basics of the other 2 languages. How singaporean can we be till we have our own singlish? Born and raised, Singapore will always be at my heart. Last but not least, where else can we find Deliveroo in our neighbouring countries? Singapore of course!

2nd prize- Yim Kwok Leong

Living in Singapore, I am proud of the safety of this country. I never have fear whenever I come home late night. I can go anywhere with my bag being open. You do not have to worry about pocket-picking because Singapore is as safe as it gets. And also most people here are genuinely kind, helpful and nice. I find this so heartening, and I do think that this by far makes Singapore quite different from other countries.

Definitely proud to be Singaporean. I'm proud of how far our country has come. A country with no natural resources yet we became one of the world’s leading financial centers. Our government is stable and might I say, honest too. (But then again, what government is 100% honest?) Our country is safe, clean and transport is efficient (well, most of the times..).

Consolation Prize: Anis Yusof

Our modern architecture, our clean and green streets, our colourful culture, and our rich heritage! This is home, truly! Let’s not forget about Changi Airport, one of the world’s best.
