Completing a delivery in another zone means additional time spent travelling back to your zone for your next delivery - crucially, that is time when you are earning. Many of you have told us of this down-side of delivering in another zone.
From 23 May onwards, we will be forming our 3rd cluster in the East- the SGKG-SGBD cluster! This means that if you ride in either SGKG or SGBD and complete an order in the other zone, you may be offered orders from restaurants in that zone too. Equally, if for example SGBD is quiet but there are orders available in SGKG, you may be offered those too. This means more secure income for all our riders in those zones!
We’re looking forward to offering you more orders and opening up even more choices to customers, but remember, how you work is completely up to you! Read below for further information.
How will this work for riders in SGKG and SGBD?
Example: A rider logs in at SGKG as per normal
After delivering an order to a customer in SGBD, the rider starts travelling back to their original zone (SGKG). However, during this time, the rider may be offered more orders in SGBD too. This can also work vice-versa for SGBD riders completing orders in SGKG.
Where will this happen?
It will only affect zones SGKG and SGBD, and the riders who log in within those zones. Apart from SGPR-SGTP-SGCS and SGBK-SGOT-SGHS-SGBG clusters that also have the same feature launched last year, all other zones will be unaffected and operate as normal.
When will this happen?
It will be launched Tuesday 23 May 2023 and will affect all riders who log in at SGKG and SGBD. These changes will be updated to your rider app automatically, you don’t have to worry about updating!
