How to calculate Deliveroo (Platform) CPF contribution amount?
Deliveroo CPF contribution is NIL for riders who do not opt-in. For riders who opt-in or are in Mandatory cohort, below example shows how Deliveroo amount is calculated:
- Total CPF Contribution: This is calculated by applying the combined contribution percentage of both the Platform Operator (PO) and Platform Worker (PW) to your earnings subject to CPF, minus any FEDR. The result is rounded to the nearest dollar.
Example: Total CPF Contribution = (3.5% + 10.5%) x $1148.04 = $160.73, rounded to $161 - Platform Worker's (PW) Share: This is calculated by applying the PW contribution percentage to your earnings subject to CPF, minus any FEDA. Cents are dropped from this amount.
Example: PW Share = 10.5% x $1148.04 = $120.54, dropping the cents results in $120 - Platform Operator's (PO) Share: This is the difference between the Total CPF Contribution and the PW Share.
Example: Deliveroo’s Share = $161 - $120 = $41 - The return amount is calculated by subtracting the PW Contribution from the Withholding Amount.
Example: Return Amount = $75.60 - $69 = $6.60
