What to do if your ID doesn’t meet the facial verification standard?

If your ID is damaged, outdated, unclear, or doesn’t match your current appearance, you may face difficulties completing identity verification. This can happen due to:

  • Faded or worn-out ID photos that make details unreadable.
  • Significant changes in appearance, such as weight fluctuations or medical conditions.
  • Old or low-quality ID photos that do not meet verification standards.

If your manual facial verification request was rejected, don’t worry— you can update your benchmark (database) ID so we have an alternative way to verify your identity using a secondary ID.

How to upload your secondary document:

If your NRIC is not meeting the verification benchmark, you can submit a secondary ID that includes your photo, NRIC number, and name.

Acceptable alternatives include:

  • Driving License
  • Passport
  • Government-issued student card

The process is similar to manual verification—just use your secondary ID instead of your NRIC. Follow the steps provided to submit your request for verification.
